Christmas in July

Join us for a Christmas in July celebration as we explore the beautiful Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Departing Gympie we take the scenic route through the Mary Valley and the Sunshine Coast Hinterland to Maleny to the Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, on arrival we enjoy morning tea before a guided walking tour of the scenic reserve. Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve comprises 55 hectares of National Estate listed subtropical rainforest overlooking the Glasshouse Mountains. A remnant of the rainforests that once covered the Blackall Range, the reserve is a living museum of diverse plant and animal life which promises to delight with its tranquility and beauty. Members of the parks dedicated team of voulenteers will take us on a wonderfuldiscovery tour. Afterward we continue to Tranquil Park Mountain Retreat where we will enjoy a Christmas Lunch with all the trimmings with spectacular views over the Glasshouse Mountains. On our return journey we travel down through Landsborough and north on the Bruce Highway stopping at Eumundi to visit the Australian Nougat Factory for a viewing and a tasting of their delicious products. Tour includes morning tea and guided tour at Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, Christmas Lunch at Tranquil Park Mountain Retreat and visit to Australian Nougat Factory.

Daparts Jaycee Way, Gympie at 8:00am and returns approximately 5:00pm
